Synopsis

Hudson Manning once loved to paint. Now, he draws a comic book, paints motel art and argues with his wife, Laura—who died two years ago! He has become a recluse, hiding from the outside world and sinking into the darkness of his self-pity. But he begins to emerge from his darkness when Katie Evans, a film student from Cornell, crashes her car into the ditch in his front yard. Energetic, vivacious and excited about art, Katie resembles the artist Hudson was before Laura's accident. As his bond with Katie grows, Laura becomes jealous, and Hudson—wracked with guilt—is afraid she might disappear forever. In the end, Hudson must choose between reality and the world he has created in his mind.

There will be one 10-minute intermission between acts.

Hal Arwood--Assistant Stage Manager

Senior Theatre major from Loudon, TN. Hal has worked on Doll's House Project, Last Train to Nibroc, Tuck Everlasting, Crossing Delancey, and several other theatre and film projects. Hal plans on graduating this winter and continuing to ASM when possible. Her long-term goal is to write, direct, and work management in the film industry, hopefully in Atlanta.

Alysse Brendtke--Sound Designer

Senior Theatre major, Musical Theatre minor from Belleville, Michigan. Alysse has worked on previous Lee Theatre productions as an actor in Antigone, Tuck Everlasting, and Crossing Delancey. She has also worked backstage on Sense and Sensibility, Where Have All the Lightning Bugs Gone and Jack's Tale. Alysse has also worked on several shows at Wayne State University including P.S. 21 and Almost Alcatrez. She plans to work in several areas at Lee Theatre to learn all branches of theatre. She hopes that theatre continues to be the platform the Lord uses for her to be a witness to the world.

Minnie Brock--Scenic Designer

Anna Evans--Katie

Freshman Graphic Design major from Ringgold, GA. This is Anna's first show with Lee Theatre. She plans on starting her own graphic design company one day doing freelance work for individuals and companies; however she's always open to whatever God has in store for her.

Brooke Jenkins--Stage Manager

Junior Theatre major from Harriman, TN. Brooke has worked on previous Lee Theatre production of Antigone, Crossing Delancey and Jack's Tale. After graduation, Brooke plans to pursue costume design and technology for theatre and film after graduation.

Iris Luce--Laura

Junior English Writing major, and minors in Theatre , Media Writing, and Journalism. Iris has appeared in Lee Theatre productions Tuck Everlasting and Antigone and worked backstage on Crossing Delancey. After graduation, Iris plans to pursue a license in editing, and hopes to continue performing at her local theatre center.

Noah Macdonald--Tom

Sophomore Theatre Education major from Ringgold, GA. Noah has participated in previous Lee Theatre productions of Antigone and Crossing Delancey. Noah plans to teach theatre at the high school level after graduation.

Luke Moliter--Hudson

Freshman Psychology major, Theatre minor from Knoxville, TN. Luke plans to work in film as either a writer or actor. This is Luke's first show with Lee Theatre.

Miriam Viars--Director

Senior Psychology and Theatre double major from Auburn, Alabama. Miriam has been involved in the following Lee Theatre productions: When She Had Wings, Songs By Ghost light, The Iliad, The Odessey and All of Greek Mythology in 99 Minutes or Less, Tuck Everlasting, Where Have All the Lighting Bugs Gone, and Jack's Tale. Miriam plans on pursuing a master's degree in Community Development and integrate theatre throughout her work.
