Bethel Park Falls

Synopsis:

The residents of the small town of Bethel are facing a crisis: Their beloved park has been sold out from under them and it's sending their lives into a tailspin. In nine interconnected vignettes, sixteen locals grapple with the loss of jobs, homes, and spouses, but find love, courage, and forgiveness as the park magically transforms through four seasons of the year in a single day.

Setting:

Various locations throughout Bethel Park Falls in a small rural New England town. It's a neighborhood park, deeply connected to the community. It belongs to the inhabitants of Bethel. It's their park. It's sacred. And now it's being demolished.

Time:

The play takes place over the course of a single day. And four seasons. Four seasons in one day.

This show is performed without an intermission and lasts 1 hour and 40 minutes.

If you must exit the theater during the show, please wait until a scene break, be careful exiting as actors use all entrance points and be aware that you may not be allowed re-entry.

Meet The Team

Lesley Bryant--Fern

Lesley is a Freshman Musical Theatre major. This is her first Lee Theatre production. After graduation she plans to pursue a career in acting, specifically musical theatre.

Alaina Duty--Stage Manager

Alaina is a Sophomore Musical Theatre major with a minor in Religion. Alaina previously served as Assistant Stage Manager on Dear Albert Einstein and performed in A Murder is Announced for Lee Theatre. Alaina is also a member of the Lee University choir Ladies of Lee, Opera Theatre and the theatre honor society Alpha Psi Omega. After graduation, Alaina plans to perform as an actress and singer until she opens her own Gospel-centered community theatre company. More importantly, she hopes to become a homeschool mom.

Sarah England--Assistant Stage Manager

Sarah is a Sophomore Early Childhood Education major and Theatre minor. This is her first Lee Theatre show. After graduation, Sarah hopes to become an elementary school teacher and hopefully head a theatre program.

Gabriela Febus--June, Holly, April

Gabriela is a Junior Theatre major and previously worked on scenic crew for Lee Theatre's A Murder is Announced. She has been a member of Lee Singers and Lee Choral Union. After graduation, Gabriela plans to serve in ministry, pursue theatre performance and teach theatre at the high school level.

Harper Johnson--Glenn, Garnet

Harper is a Freshman Theatre major. This is his first Lee Theatre production. After graduation, Harper plans to have a career in acting, whether that be on stage or on the big screen.

Noah MacDonald--Director

Noah is a Senior Theatre major. His previous Lee Theater productions include serving as Assistant Stage Manager for Antigone, serving on crew for Crossing Delancey, Tom in Beware the Licorice Vines, ensemble cast in Julius Caesar, scenic crew for A Rock Sails By, and Edmund in A Murder is Announced. Noah is also a member of the theatre honor society Alpha Psi Omega. After graduation, Noah plans to pursue a MFA in Directing and hopes to become a Theatre professor.

Maddie Mennenga--Sound Designer

Maddie is a Senior Theatre major. Maddie has previously worked on Lee Theatre productions as crew for Antigone, stage manager for Jack's Tale, sound designer for It's a Wonderful Life, Assistant Stage Manger for Julius Caesar, stage manager for Dear Albert Einstein, and makeup and hair design for Castlewood. Maddie plans to pursue what the Lord has in store next, hopefully in local or regional stage management or a directing position after graduation.

Mariah Moore--Brooke, Dawn

Mariah is a Senior Theatre major. She has performed in previous Lee Theatre productions The Sound of Music and A Murder is Announced. Mariah is a member of Campus Choir, Shenanigans Improv team and the theatre honor society, Alpha Psi Omega. After graduation Mariah plans to be a part of the acting and music producing world in the future. She writes her own music and has a passion for praise and worship. Sharing God's love through all arts is the dream.

Jack Rowe--Ash, Reed

Jack is a Freshman Biology major. This is Jack's first Lee theatre production. After graduation, Jack plans to get a steady job that he can be passionate about.

Samantha Saez--Lily, Gaia, Hazel

Samantha is a Sophomore Communication major with a minor in Theatre. Samantha previously worked on crew for Dear Albert Einstein for Lee Theatre. She is a member of the theatre honor society Alpha Psi Omega. Samantha plans to be a fiction author as well as an actress after graduation.

Jaiden Thompson--Clay, Dusty, Cliff, Sonny

Jaiden is a Sophomore Musical Theatre major. Jaiden previously performed in Dear Albert Einstein and served on crew for Castlewood with Lee Theatre. He is also a member of Evangelical Singers (EVS) on campus, LeeU Worship, and the theatre honor society, Alpha Psi Omega. After graduation, Jaiden plans to become a professional actor, singer, and dancer.
